Corsair Builder 500w V2 for GTX 460 SE & Q6600?

I have a GTX 460 SE and Q6600 as part of my build. I plan on lightly overclocking both. Currently, I have a Cooler Master Extreme Power Plus 500w. I have been told my PSU will not support the GTX 460 SE due to only having 18a on the 12V rail.

If I plan on overclocking both the CPU and GPU lightly, would the Corsair Bilder Series V2 500w CMPSU-500CXV2 be okay?

Thanks a ton!

According to an equivalent card at newegg, you need 24 amps on the 12V rail. 18 amps isn't close enough. You need a better PSU. The one you mention outputs up to 34 amps on the 12 volt rail, so it will be sufficient to power that GPU.

As in the Corsair Builder will be sufficient? And is the 24 amps requirement only a recommendation for 'max load'? If so, the PSU I currently own would be sufficient for low~mild load tasks, correct?

Thanks for your help, I really do appreciate it.
