explorer screen size when opening

Hi
running a laptop at 1024 768
every time i open a new window, my favourites arent selected with full
screen (f11).

I cannot get both to open so that it is full screen and also favourites to
slide in and out. The x to close my favourites is always selected. its
driving me mad!!!!

are there any tools available or registery stuff

In the upper R.hand corner of the page,make sure all 3 are in single box,
the L.click youre pointer on an edge of page,drag to desired setting,do this
on all 4 sides.XP will reopen as you left them,also make sure youre display
drivers are up-to-date.

doesn't work - favourites still the same
