I have just got a new Desktop after 8 years of a shitty Dell. The Asus Essentio cm1730-03, it's running everything so well but I'm looking to upgrade the graphics card, these are the specs I have on it.

Motherboard: Asus M4A78LT-M
CPU: AMD AM3 Phenom™ II/Athlon™ II/Sempron™ 100 Series Processors
Supports AM3 45 nm CPU
Supports CPU up to 125 W
RAM: 8GB upgraded from 4GB

Expansion Slots: PCIe 2.0 x16
PCIe 1.0
2 PCI

300W PSU, forgot to put that in there

I'm looking for a decent quality card, I have been looking at the Sapphire Radeon HD 6570 although it's a PCIe 2.1 x16 and not a 2.0 x16. Any and all help will be appreciated, thanks.

We know it is a 300w PSU but is it a OEM or a store bought PSU? and can you list the brand name and see if you can see how many amps are on the 12v rail. AMD shows a 450w min PSU for the 6770 and the 6570 shows a min 400w

Never mind I just found it.That PSU will not drive either card. You will have to upgrade your PSU as well. Sorry to tell you that. If you are going upgrade look for these brands. Corsair, Antec, Seasonic, and XFX.

Here is the link to the AMD web site that shows both cards and you can see what the min requirement is. I do wish you good luck
