Hi guys,
How are you?
Can I do anything to overclock higher? Some say that this CPU can overclock to 4Ghz and possibly even higher.

I have an ASUS P5G41T-M LX Plus mATX LGA775 DDR3 and an E8400 CPU - 3.0Ghz.
The highest it will overclock is 395 fsb, 3.57mhz.
Higher voltage doesn't change anything to help.
The Ram is G.SKILL Ripjaws X F3-10666CL7D-8GBXH 8GB 2X4GB DDR3-1333 CL7-7-7-21 Memory
(I have this ram running at 1580 perfectly fine. When I decrease the ram to 1280 for example... the fsb still won't go beyond 395)
Anything higher then 395Mhz fsb just won't boot.

Please advise,
Thank You,
best wishes.

(Guys the board only supports DDR3 1066 and 1333 O.C. can I put DDR3 1600 in it? Will the 1600 downgrade itself to 1066 or 1333 and run ok? Would it run at 1600 O. C. ed?)

The reason why you can't OC any higher is your motherboard. It uses a cheap chipset on a cheap board, two things you really don't want for a good OC. You need a decent motherboard to OC well. You want a board with chipsets like the P45, X38, X48 and nForce 790i to overclock to 4ghz. There are motherboards with these chipsets that support DDR3 but there are some with the same chipset that use DDR2, so be aware of that.

You'll have to look on ebay for one though unfortunately.
