Hello forum..ers
Since I know only a little about PC's and so on I was wondering if I could get some help on a PC build.
I have a $700 budget for a decent gaming-ish PC and I really have no idea how to approach on it.
I'm going to need absolutely everything from scratch, including the OS.
Although you can eliminate a monitor, mouse, & keyboard; I already have those.
I mostly play WoW, DoD:S, CS:S, and a few other low-scale games.
I would like to play some modern games to though, such as SR3 and a few others.
Before I forget to mention, S&H has to be in the budget too.

Sooo, if I can play my games in some high settings above 40 FPS, i'm happy!

First off welcome to the forums. I'll try to help you as much as possible suiting your needs and trying to provide well detailed and informed responses.

So the parts that you are going to need are going to be: Mother Board, Case, Power Supply, Processor, Memory, Hard Drive, and a Video Card.

So for your needs this budget is actually quite do able for a decent gaming computer, that will play the games that you want to play, because they aren't very demanding. I have one question first, how much do you care about looks?

Oh okay I understand. So here is what I am going to recommend.

Mother board: ASRock P67 PRO3 (B3) LGA 1155 Intel P67 SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX Intel Motherboard http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813157230 - $105 after shipping

Memory: CORSAIR Vengeance 4GB (2 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600 Desktop Memory Model CMZ4GX3M2A1600C9 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820145343 - $30

Case: Case is not a big deal. They are all the same when it comes down to it. It really all depends on preference. I recommend something like this: NZXT GAMMA Classic Series GAMA-001BK Black Steel ATX Mid Tower Computer Case http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811146061 - $46 after shipping I had this case for quite some time and it is great.

Power Supply: SeaSonic M12II 620 Bronze 620W ATX12V V2.3 / EPS 12V V2.91 SLI Ready 80 PLUS BRONZE Certified Modular Active PFC Power Supply http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817151095 - $90 free shipping

OS: Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium SP1 64-bit http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16832116986 - $100

Hard Drive: Western Digital Caviar Blue WD7500AALX 750GB 7200 RPM 32MB Cache SATA 6.0Gb/s 3.5" Internal Hard Drive -Bare Drive http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16822136768 - $90

The total comes out to $726, but if you do the rebate on the Video Card, it comes out to $706.
