Need some help!!!!!

I am going to be buying a new sound card. I was looking at the X-Fi Xtreme Music card for a while, but then I've read countless horror stories regarding the X-Fi series and nForce based motherboards. Most of the problems I've read are for the nForce 4. I don't have a nForce 4, but I do have a nForce 2. Here's my motherboard info:

Other computer info: Athlon XP 3200+, 2GB RAM, currently using onboard sound

So, will the X-Fi cards work fine with my board? Or would it be better for me to put my money on a different sound card? My brother recommened Turtle Beach; are they any good?

X-fi would work on your system

BUT, un-install all your creative drivers first

then

start up in safe mode and run driver cleaner pro
