Nokia 6310i and Smarteq Handsfree

Have two Smarteq Handsfree Sets, they work well with my

Nokia 6210 Mobile phones.



Have upgraded to a Nokia 6310i but notice the radio mute

doesn't work properly.

What happens is the mute function cuts in correctly (the

radio output switches off) but stays off for a variable

time from up to 10 secs, but at other times the mute may

function for 30 secs, and other times it may take 3-5

minutes for the radio output to come back on. Sometimes

I need to remove the phone from the cradle to get the

radio to un-mute. I can not seem to determine that there

is any particular usage pattern that determines this

variability in the radio mute function.

The radio mute works fine with the 6210 phone (reliably

stays mute for 5 secs after a key is pressed)

Is this a documented problem?

Is there a fix for this problem with the 6310i ( firmware

change for either the phone or the Smarteq control box)
