Hi, I am building a new gaming PC and I need to know if the PSU i selected is overkill for it. The PSU i was looking at is the:
Corsair HX850

I also would like a SSD for my OS and some games I play frequently, but I don't know what would be the best SSD for this. I am looking for something between 100GB and 200GB
The parts I have selected are:
i5-2500k

ASUS P8Z77-V PRO

Thermaltake Frio

Get the V. The Pro offers nothing that is deal-breaking. Everything else is great.

Crucial 128gb SSD.

What graphics card? Unless you're going SLI/CFX, you don't need 850W.

Crap, why didn't I notice. For one GPU, 650W is the max you should ever get.

Forgot about a GPU, either a 7950 or a 680, and I will Crossfire/SLI later on.

The 7950 is 400$ and the 7970 is 460$. I would get a 7970. Such a good deal right now. :(

Oh, did AMD drop the price? Yeah, you're right, for $460, the 7970 is a great deal.
