if you want to save some cash without sacrificing performance get the 4170 instead

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819106009

it is a newer fx chip, and you can check the benchmarks, this cpu is better in gaming that it's counterparts.

The 6850 is an INSANE CARD. I love it, and i have never overclocked before until now and it was so easy. If you do overclock, you will see a great performance gain that can match up to a 6870.

Side note, as you fill your SSD. Do not buy new, get an x25-m used off ebay. The 160GB go as cheap as $110 and they almost never die. I personally have a 60GB vertex 2 sitting on a shelf, 2 months of use it died and I got tired of trying to return the thing.
Anyways, there may be other SSD to get at a cheap price. I just stick to Intel, as they have the lowest return/malfunction rate, and of my 4 Intel drives they have a perfect track record. Corsair and Kingston are also suppose to be good, I have 2 Kingston drives that have worked well (they do lose less GB when formating then Intel drives). I would just avoid Vertex 2 like the plague in the future.

The reason why i picked 6 core is just the fact that games only use 1 core but soon they will be taking adv of more cores not just relying on the video card. also im gonna run crossfire and the cpu will be oc maybe to 3.8. as for the SSD my buddy got's a 160 he gonna sale me for cheap like 50-75 cheaper... But this is my first build.......NOT BAD FOR A FIRST TIMER???????

The newest game engine that takes up more than - cores is frostbite used in bf3, you will need to wait a long time for it to max out those cores, even thought the game recommends 4, a dual core with a nice gpu will be able to destroy the game.
