I have a 2007 Dell Optiplex 745 Desktop. Ultraslim Model with an onboard Intel Graphics Media Accelerator Card that has a DVI-I Dual Link output. I'm told this can run dual monitors but I am having a heck of a time finding the right cable. I have 2 VGA only monitors. I don't want a clone display, I am trying to get an extended desktop.

I'm thinking I need a Y cable with a DVI-I on one end and two VGA ends but I guess my question is will this work? Would any splitter work or would I need one capable of extended display?

Screw it. I think I'll just do a USB external video adapter.
