    Is this slimline yours? http://www.dell.com/us/dfh/p/inspiron-530s/pd
If so, I believe it has a FoxConn G33m02 motherboard which (I think) is the same as their: http://www.foxconnchannel.com/ProductDetail.aspx?T=Motherboard&U=en-us0000319
    If so, you can use:
    Intel Celeron processor 430
Intel Celeron Processor 420 (1.6 GHz, 800 FSB)
    Intel Pentium Dual-Core 2140 (1.6 GHz, 800 MHz FSB)
    Intel Pentium Dual-Core 2160 (1.8 GHz, 800 MHz FSB)
Intel Pentium Dual-Core E5200(2.5 GHz, 800 MHz FSB)
Intel Core 2 Duo E4300 (1.8 GHz, 800 MHz FSB)
Intel Core 2 Duo E4400 (2.0 GHz, 800 MHz FSB)
Intel Core 2 Duo E6320 (1.86 GHz, 1066 MHz FSB)
Intel Core 2 Duo E6420 (2.13 GHz, 1066 MHz FSB)
Intel Core 2 Duo E6550 (2.33 GHz, 1333 MHz FSB)
Intel Core 2 Duo E6750 (2.66 GHz, 1333 MHz FSB)
Intel Core 2 Duo E7300 (2.66 GHz, 1066 MHz FSB)
Intel Core 2 Duo E7400 (2.80 GHz, 1066 MHz FSB)
    Wolfdale Core 2 Duo, E8400, 3.0GHz, 6MB, 1333FSB, 65W, E0
    Wolfdale Core 2 Duo, E8500, 3.16GHz, 6MB, 1333FSB, 65W, C0
Wolfdale Core 2 Duo E8500 (3.16 GHz, 1333 MHz FSB)
    Wolfdale Dual Core Kit, E8600, 3.33GHz, 6MB, 1333FSB, 65W, E0

Also, the Intel Pentium E6500 2.93 GHz dual core processor.

A BIOS update may be required to use some of the core2duos. The 'tech support' tab on the site above will get you to the latest BIOS version.

If you find you still need a graphic card upgrade (which I think you'll find you do), look for a low profile card that gets all its power from the PCIe slot and you won't need to try and find a new PSU for the slimline.
  4. mine is not the slim but i am using a foxconn its not reading as a foxconn i dont know why my updates are up to date lol....
  5. and how much ram can i go on it i heard 8 some say 16 and dell told me 4 with the stock dell but mine isnt stock a new motherboard was instilled with is the foxconn thats what my seller told me when i bought it ...

Again, it depends on the board in it now. According to the Dell Inspiron 530 Series Owner's Manual, the original board can use 8GB DDR2 if you have the 530a or 530c. If you have the 530, you are limited to 4GB DDR2.
    http://support.dell.com/support/edocs/systems/inspd530/en/OM/HTML/appendix.htm

But since you say you have a replacement board... If you can give me the model number on the Foxconn board, we can be sure. If it is the FoxConn G33 I mentioned above, it can use 8GB DDR2.
  7. yes it is the Foxconn G33M02 but it does not say how much ram it hold but does support DDR2
  8. what will happen if i over clock my cpu with it crash or blue screen ??

Then I'm going to say it will accept 8BG DDR2 667 or 800 MHZ memory max.

If it keeps you from booting back into BIOS to set the O/C back, then you will have to reset your BIOS so you can re-boot. That's done by removing the CMOS battery and jumpering the CLR RTC pins for a few seconds.
  11. i think ill just buy that processor thats 3.3 ghz lol and see if i can also get more ram and if it reads and plays bf3 play better thank bro.. o and another thing what better windows xp black 64 bit CRACK or windows 7 ultimate 64 bit CRACK as well
