I have a fairly nice Asus desktop that I like to use for gaming. It has an Intel Core 2 Quad Q9300 Yorkfield 2.5GHz possessor, 8GB of DDR2 RAM and a bunch of hard drives. What graphics card (if any) will bottleneck this system. I am thinking about building an extremely expensive gaming beast, but it may be a good idea to keep what I have and just add a really nice graphics card. Thank you.

It all depends on what resolution you game at; what resolution your monitor is. The Q9300 is capable of keeping up with most cards. The small amount of bottleneck that may be present with the fastest cards won't be an issue to worry about. I'd get the fastest card you can afford. The HD 6850 or GTX 460 would be the minimum I'd get.

6870/560 non ti Will be most appropriate for you.

Just provide us other specs such as Monitor Resolution, PSU, etc. So we know that you need upgrade or not.
