Intel Core 2 Duo E6850 or Intel Pentium D 945

Hi! Need some help again. I have two options in selecting a budget gaming CPU. I'm little confused since they're specifically almost same and regarding my poor airflow!.

Pentium D = P4 Prescott/Presler = some of the worst CPUs in Intel's history in terms of performance/watt and performance/clock.
