If I were to buy a locked, low-end CPU, how much would 0.1 GHz be worth? Like, is it worth getting a Pentium G620 to G630 for $__?

More about : ghz worth

Best solution

a c 283 à CPUs

You wouldn't ever notice the difference. 100Mhz is a VERY tiny jump in computing. 1Ghz? Yes. 0.1Ghz (100Mhz)? No.

True.

Worth is something only YOU can determine.

generally speaking if you divide the increas by the base clock you can see the percentage -

So 100 mhz on a 1GB chip is a 10% increase.

on a 4ghz chip its 2.5%.

match that to cost for rough value estimates
