So, I need help choosing an Aftermarket Fan!

Mobo: Asus M5A78L-M/USB3

CPU AMD Phenom X4 965

Do want something to expensive or over the top, not really looking to overclock. Any recommendations?

What is your RAM?

Erm, the board literally just fits in my PC case so I want a new one as well. Recommend me one, I don't want 2 spend more than £40 on it. Not even close to that tbh but reality is i will have too.

Nikorr 16gb RIPSAW G.SKILL 1333mhz DDR3

It might only be 8GB, the seller said it was 16GB but it says 4x2GB on them and there is 8 slots but only 4 in the case he sent.

I have both versions 32 and 64 bit.

Vista 32 and 7 64, I will be using the 7 64bit once my new PC is in :)

I already have the RAM, I bought as it was cheap, asked him if it worked said it does and there are no problems with it so I hope it works. Could ask him for a refund, I asked him if it was 4 sticks he said yeah.

That's the bad part.

If it is 4x2GB, than u doubled your chances that 1 stick will be bad or will die on you.

And u killed the upgradebility to use more RAM, since all is filled up.

I would return it.

Sorry, one more quick question!

The CPU has thermal paste on it from the previous Cooler(didn't fit) and I'm not really confident to clean it off or what to use. Can you just recommend something to remove and what paste to use when I get my new Fan here(This won't come with thermal paste pre-applied will it?)

I found that but weather that is any good or not idk

Thanks, also what material I should use... Is tissue ok?

CPU Core: Remove thermal material with ArctiClean 1 and 2, a xylene based
cleaner, (Goof Off and some carburetor cleaners) or high-purity isopropyl alcohol
and a LINT FREE cloth (a lens cleaning cloth or coffee filter).
