Getting video output through 3 5mm

hello i have a hp dm1 4010us netbook, a hd tv and a cable which plugs into the 3.5mm on my pc to the yellow, red and white on my tv. The only problem i am getting is no video output that's the (yellow) one. Is there a software i can download for this to work.

you need to use a hdmi cable.
the 3.5mm plug on your laptop is audio only, it is NOT wired for video, there is nothing you can do about it.
