Using a Xeon E3-1230 without ECC-RAM

Hi everybody!

I have this here Intel Xeon E3-1230, which I would like to put to use in creating a pretty serious lab environment. I need to pick up a mobo to go with this, but I would really like to avoid using ECC RAM to keep my costs down. Research shows a lot of conflicting information, and I hope to get some clarity before I end up wasting more money paying Newegg's restocking fees...

So, in short--does the Xeon E3-1230 require ECC memory, and if not can anyone recommend a motherboard?

it will support either ECC or non ECC ram so you should be fine

and also you cant overclock past the turbo boost limit
