I have a hp desktop, and i need to know if the 600w that came with it will be able to power the 7870. I've read everywhere that a quality power supply with 600w is more than enough, but im not sure about a shitty HP power supply. :p  What do you guys think?

Windows 7 Home Premium [64-bit]
3rd Generation Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-3770 quad-core processor [3.4GHz, 8MB Shared Cache]
8GB DDR3-1333MHz SDRAM [2 DIMMs]
1TB 7200 rpm SATA hard drive
7870

Thanks!

Is that sarcasm? :p  I actually don't know too much about them, but if they are decent, that'd be great.

Can you read on the power supply how many amps it has on the 12V rail?

Look on the side of the PSU and tell us the model number of the PSU. Most major OEM PC mfrs actually use good-high quality PSUs...they understand their importance in a stable, long-lasting PC.

Yeah, HP doesn't need the warranty problems that would be caused by using crappy PSUs. You should be good.
