Good motherboard and CPU for gaming ???

is this a good gaming set up for with my hd6870

CPU; i5 3750k
Motherboard; asus sabertooth z77
RAM: g.skill 4 or 8 gig ddr3 ram

It's a start towards that. You also need a good graphics card like an AMD 6870.

I have that mb...it a nice mb be carefull on the ram..asus mb are picky on the ram you buy. try to pick up newer ram with the low heat spreaders.with some ram and the thermal armor and cpu heat sinks some ram with tall heat spreaders you can lose the last two ram slots if the ram too tall. when you get the rig and you bread board it for the first time. see what bios is installed on the mb. the first bios is 801 and some ib chips wont post with the old bios. you have to use the usb flashback port and put the 0901 cpu code on..if it has the newer bios then 0901 itr post fine with the ib cpu. the bios patches now are for windows 8 on asus web page and some usb keyboards and mice.

im not really an expert in bios so i have totaly no idea wat you want to say to me if im right you want me
to upgrade ????

the mb may have old bios installed when you get the mb. check to see what rev it is before you toss it into your case. the new ib chips need a min bios on the sabertooth mb to post. there also been few bios bug fixes.
