Don't need Windows. Linux is my thing and XP if I have to. Why would I need a graphics card for an APU??? Is it worth saving $27 on half the ram???

Also I will just be playing Minecraft on here that's about it. Minimum settings are fine but I would prefer higher.

Dude, minecraft is actually pretty demanding. You might want to look at some of the $50 graphics cards. Anything will be better than onboard.

Yes, I know what you have. I have a 2500k w/ integrated graphics (Intel HD Graphics 3000) and I am telling you to get a GPU because integrated graphics stink! Even for Minecraft.

Agreed. You're 8GB of RAM is complete overkill at this price point. 4GB is plenty for 90% of users anyways.

The integrated GPU in the Llano chips is better than Intel's Sandy Bridge graphics, but keep in mind that under heavy loads you've essentially combined the thermal output of the CPU and GPU into one space which can end up creating enough heat to throttle back the CPU and/or GPU to keep it under TDP, especially with a stock heat sink.

I would strongly suggest backing off on the RAM and then investing in a low end GPU. Maybe something like the following...

Sapphire AMD HD 6670 - $65

Crucial Ballistix DDR3 memory - 1333MHz, CAS 7 - $28

That GPU will crush your onboard GPU, and the RAM is better quality too. You're 300W PSU should also be fine for use with this GPU, so no added cost there either.

Yep.

And even a 6570 would crush the integrated GPU. I agree with the user above.

Hell, I saw an Emachine at Walmart today for $300 that had a GPU in it - a piece of shite it was, but a GPU nonetheless.

I really wouldn't consider a build without a GPU, not even for grandma.

You can ditch the DVD ROM. The CPU you picked comes with one for free according to Newegg's site.

The RAM isn't bad, but you have to get CAS 7 @ 1333MHz to be the same speed as the CAS 9 @ 1600MHz you had picked before. The Ballistix memory I posted previously is just that and is only a couple dollars more. Also, running two sticks will allow dual channel mode which makes things ever so slightly faster as well.

Asus makes decent PCIe x1 WiFi adapters.

For a couple bucks ($2) more you can get the dual band one if your router suports it...
