Power requirements for galaxy gts 250

have following specifications
Intel pentium D 3.2gz(dual core)
intel 945gccr board with 1 pcie slot
2gb ddr3 ram
1sata hard drive
1 sony dvd rw combo drive
400watt digicom power supply?

i came across 2 cards:
zotac 9600gso 512mb ddr3 128bit G94(1gb with turbo catch) which costs around $60 ($39+shipping and tax) to bring to my location from ebay.

or
galaxy gts 250 1gb ddr3 which cost around $80 ($49+ shipping and tax)


since i dont have a required power supply for gts 250 which card should i buy considering my cpu as gts 250 would be bottelnecked due to my cpu and i have to change my psu which would inccur extra cost. i have maximum budget of $100. and it is hard to find decent brand psu in the local market and ordering from web is not a option because the shipping cost is very high.
please suggest which card should i order.


in case purchase galaxy gts 250 what should i do about the power supply? can i run it on 400 watt psu with +12vrail with 18amp?
or purchase psu having more than 450 watt? i think i will not get any decent brand psu in the market.
can i purchase any psu with the required power(+12v with 24Amp) for running the card?

Pretty much any modern 500W PSU will have you covered, but it may be out of your budget. Have you looked at any more recent cards? ?hey have more performace/watt. See if you can acquire a Radeon 5770 or 6770, you should be able to run that with your PSU.

actually i m from nepal. i cannot enjoy the rebate as i have to order through third party(website) in order to lower the shipping cost. i found 550watt psu at market from brand name zeal having two +12v with 19amp on one rail and 18amp on other for my budget. i guess it makes 37 amp on +12v rail
do you think can i run gts 250 on that psu?
what about msi 4850 oc?

Probably 4850 (if you really only can get that) seems OK on that, I'd better go with better brands though...

also other brand i got on market was goldkist 550watt but it has only 16amp on +12v rail and is expensive than other the seller said that it can run gts 250 and is one of the good brand aviliable in the country. also msi 4850 was already sold out

How about the combined +12V rail? By seeing dual 16A, I assume that they should run fine if the combined amps is 32A. But if no, I need to confirm somewhat.

it has only 1 +12v rail so should i try with the other one for gts 250 or get other card may be 9600gso or 5570?

i got gts 250 and 550 watt psu names speed with 30A on +12V rail. the card works fine but when i play games the psu fan sound is really loud where as at ideal it is quite silent?
