Micro-studder on dual GPU card?

Hello,
Can anyone tell me if micro-studder is an issue on a single video card with dual GPUs (590, etc.). I'm wondering if it's something that happens related to more than one GPU, on any number of cards, or if it's more related to communication between cards.

Yes it's an issue with single cards that have dual GPUs(PCBs) on them.Because they're pretty much the same as SLI mode only on one slot
