How do i check if my ATI/AMD Radeon 6850M HD 1GB has GDDR3 or GDDR5 Ram in it?
ive looked it up it could be either or but i know know
ive tried a prorgam called speccy to check but no luck
any help guys on how i can check?
don't you have the specs?
you can see the bios config, or for example check the ram installed. If you have 4Gb (of system ram), then if the graphic is using the system memory, you will see something less than 4gb in system info. let's say: system memory = 3072 mb and video memory 1024 mb, but you gotta be sure about the total memory installed on your laptop. if that's the case, the graphic card is using the system memory, so DDR3.
THE EASIEST WAY: try GPU-Z, but the info can be ok or not...
you can download it from here:http://www.techpowerup.com/downloads/2101f/GPU-Z.0.5.9.exe
