Nothing worth mentioning if you already have a Sandy Bridge i7.

The biggest improvements are the IGP, QuickSync, PCIe 3.0, 17W lower TDP, typically lower maximum overclock and slightly better IPC.

The main difference is about ~20% more power, IB runs hotter,

has better integrated grapgics, cost little bit more,

couple more features and integrated USB3 on the chip for IB.

USB3 and SATA3 are in the z77/z75/h77/p75 chipset, not the CPU.

PCIe 3.0 support is what requires IB for the x16/x8x8 GPU slot(s).
