Colour Banding GTX470

Hi i seem to be having a problem with my computer. When i look at the desktop and games i can see the lines where the colours change. Any ideas would be much apprecaited.

I5 2500K CPU
ASUS P8P67 MOTHERBOARD
EVGA GTX 470 GRAPHICS CARD
WINDOWS 7 64 BIT

update drivers,
check Control Panel\All Control Panel Items\Display\Screen Resolution to make sure its the same as your monitor. On that screen click Advanced Settings and make sure that you are using 'True Color' on the monitor tab

Do you think the graphics card could be the problem.

the graphic card could be having issues yes, but check your drivers like arge said first. the 470 and 480 have some heating issues. Does your case have good air flow?

I do apologize it is a GTX570 that i have and there seems to be good airflow with 4 fans. This is a strange one
