Graphic card doesn't fit the case?

Is it possible that a graphics card couldn't fit a case? I bought a new graphic card and installed it just fine. BUT. I can't get the VGA cord plugged in because the case itself is in the way..

Where the arrow is,is what is in my way. It's just a normal blue VGA cord..it WOULD plug in,if that metal side on the case wasn't in my way.

I am unable to view the image but my guessing would be its a low profile bracket that is in the way my suggestion would be to flip the low profile latch up or bend it slightly enough till you can plug it in.
