looks nice, but I prefer the 6990 4gb. Pay the extra 150 - 200 for double the card. For that price you could get one of the new 7xxx cards and get better performance..

Generally most reference 6950's will have the BIOS switch allowing for flashing.

Here's an example of the BIOS switch needed for the procedure. One of the BIOS is locked for backup incase you mess up the flash, and one of them is unlocked allowing a flash.

i've already used the switch, i didn't flash mine with 6970 bios though, just unlocked shaders. got it for $219 too so. this thread is a joke btw, it's a follow up to another thread i made before in regard to this video card. i was just interested to know which card you flashed.

Unlocking the shaders is essentially flashing the card anyway except for the higher clock you can get.

maybe if they would throw in a badass dirt devil vacuum cleaner with this video card it might sell. i was laughing earlier when i typed in "vacuum" on newegg, there was like 500 results, they sell mad vacuum cleaners.

Lolz these companies sell some weird things. Tigerdirect sells washers and driers I'm pretty sure. I think it would sell better actually if it was paired with another of the same card.
