Hello!

Currently, I have a Lenovo H320 computer that I bought a few months back from last year. Right now, I'd like to upgrade it to suit my needs in terms of playing video games in there, specifically games such as Shogun 2: Total War, Anno 2070, basically some of the recent titles from today. If you're not familiar with these games, they're known to have very beautiful-looking graphics, even in medium settings. But my computer can't seem to be able to play these games, as it only has an Intel HD Integrated GPU (or however you call it). So, I hope you guys can help me out a bit.

I don't know what specs to put here about the H320, so I'll just link it here:

The only difference my PC has with the specs is that it has: An integrated GPU, and a 6 GB RAM (8 is the max). I'm also a bit skeptical about the power supply. I'm not sure if it's higher or lower than it really is, and if necessary, I'm going to need to open the PC and check it out.

I've researched some things off the Web about upgrading the GPU for my PC. I even started my own thread about the subject, but the project took longer than it should have due to not having enough time (approximately 7 months amount of time) and money. When I eventually got the GPU that I wanted according to the thread, it didn't fit inside the H320, as it was too wide, too long, and too big. Here is the link of the GPU if you need it

So, I did my research yet again, until I found this interesting thread where it states that getting either a Radeon HD6570 or HD6670 is a good choice.

I went and did some looking, and eventually found this:

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814102958

It's a Radeon HD 6670. Yes, it states that the minimum of 400 Watts is required, and my PC only holds 250. Although, I did hear that manufacturers exaggerate the Watt requirement (for some reason, I don't know, so this may not be true at all). If that wasn't the case, then a Radeon HD 6570 might be sufficient.

I'm a bit skeptical about using the latter though, since if you compare the size of it to the one that I bought, but was simply too big, it seems the same size, whereas the former seems small enough to fit in with no problem. If needed, I'll edit this and put in some picture URLs about the inside of the H320.

Bottom line, I just need a good/great GPU for my Lenovo H320, running games such as Shogun 2 in medium/high settings with minimal to no lag. If some of you guys can help me out, that would be fantastic! Thank you very much in advance!

P.S. I don't know how to put out URLs inside a hyperlink here, so I apologize for the bold/underlined eyesore links.

Hi,

You have a small form factor case.

Your PCie slot for video is: 1 PCI Express 2.0 x16 - Half-length, low-profile, so you need a "low profile" video card that is short enough to fit. The one you picked, "SAPPHIRE 100326LP Radeon HD 6670 1GB 128-bit GDDR5 PCI Express 2.1 x16 HDCP Ready Low Profile Video Card" looks like a good choice if it is not too long. The card dimensions are: 7.48" x 2.44" x 0.91" open you case and see if it will fit.

The 6670 draws only 66-70W (google 6670 and TDP to verify this). It will work in your PC without messing with your power supply. (If they offer a X16 PCIe slot then they have 75 watts free to deliver to the slot.)

Net buy the 6670, run it. Be happy (I hope). If you need more gaming power then you need to get out of the small form factor case, so don't spend a lot of money trying different power supply/ video card combos. The 6670 is about the strongest card you can get in that case (until they come out with a 7750 in low profile).
