Yes, I should have known better. USB isn't exactly "fire wire" but I figured for a TV signal, the bandwidth would be enough. NOT! I went with a Radeon 64 VIVO when I put my new system together and missed the TV tuner of the All-in-wonder 128 in my old system. For $99 bucks I figured I would give it a shot.

Big mistake. Really bad video quality, audio only comes in at mono, and both are out of sync by just enough to annoy the crap out of you. And even the slightest use of the cpu, such as outlook checking for new mail, and both video and audio pause for a second or two. And my system is no slouch. 1.2GHz Athlon-C, 512MB PC-133 RAM, ATI Radeon 64 VIVO, etc.

Its a shame because the ease of setup, basically all the same features of the much higher priced ATI All-in-wonder Radeon tuner, and relatively cheap price would have made this an excellent product. My advice, stay away, far away. At least until the new USB specification comes around (2.0 I think?) with the largely increased bandwidth capabilities and hardware to go with it.

Anyway, just my 2 cents, hopefully saving someone else from making the same mistake I did.

Anybody use this ATI USB TV tuner or something similar that had a better (or worse) experience? I'm sure there is a possibility I have missed or done something wrong, any feedback would be appreciated.

Thanks,
