GIGABYTE GA-Z77X-UD5H Compatible With DDR3 2133?

Hey guys,

About to make a new build but I have a quick noob question - will two of these G.SKILL Ripjaws X Series 8GB (2 x 4GB) 240-Pin DDR3 2133 memory kits be compatible with this GIGABYTE GA-Z77X-UD5H motherboard? Apparently 2133 isn't supported despite most all other Z77 motherboards supporting it. Can it be tweaked to other speed settings? Thanks.

Seems like Gigabyte have updated the specifications tab on the product page for the GA-Z77X-UD5H to include 2400MHz RAM. So it will support 2133MHz RAM.

Okay, thank you very much. But in what way exactly? Will it run on the default XMP and speed settings at 2133 etc. or will I have to manually tweak things around? Sorry if my question is vague I'm not sure how else to say it.

Memory support yes it will it is memory F3-17000CL9Q-16GBXLD which is the one you posted

Thanks for the response, but the memory I provided the link to actually has a model # of F3-17000CL11D-8GBXL. I would be getting two of them for a 16GB (4x4GB) kit.

I haven't used a set of memory or a motherboard which supports XMP so don't know for certain, but I'm fairly sure that it defaults to 1333MHz, so you will have to go into the BIOS and 'tweak things' to get it to run at 2133MHz.
