Can I upgrade my asus g73 to 3d

Hello,
I am wanting to upgrade my screen to support 3D function. Is this possible?

It skipped most of the info I posted. Okay, I have an Asus G73-SW with a 1600x900 display. I recently purchased the Nvidia 3D vision bundle under the misconception that my laptop was ready for it. So, I installed it and to my dismay, found out that my screen won't allow 3D. So, I'm currently looking to upgrade my screen with a full 1080 but I am not sure if the connections will match up. Before I spend money on something else that won't work, I'm asking for help. I also have the Nvidia GeForce 460m Graphics card. Can anyone help?
