Love the 630i. Had one for a short time before I handed it off to my brother.

Your 9800 GT's were later repackaged as GTS 250's, and the closest modern equivalent is the GTS 450. That said, for the price of two GTS 450's you'd be far better off stepping up to a GTX 560 Ti ($120/ea. vs. $225). A single 560 Ti will provide a significant performance increase over your current 9800 GT SLI setup, and your 630i has a 650 or 750W (dont' recall exactly) PSU with two PCIe connectors as I recall, so there should be no issue there with powering it.

What card did you end up getting? I am also looking for the best compatible graphics card upgrade for my xps 630i system. Thank you!

The XPS 630i can handle any single modern day GPU. Going SLI will usually require replacing the power supply since there are only two 6-pin PCIe power leads.

I don't know which CPU you have as it came with a good selection, but it's generally a good idea to stick with nVidia as the nForce SLI boards and the nVidia software make running ATI/AMD cards a bit of a hassle. I would suggest you look at GTX 560 Ti, GTX 570, or GTX 580 cards as budget permits. The GTX 560 Ti should be enough to let you play at high or ultra on most any game out there at resolutions of 1920x1080 or less.
