I have a CD-R and now i bought a DVD-Rom. Meanwhile i only have one audio cable. Should i take the audio cable from the CD-R and use it with the DVD or should i buy another cable? How does the audio cable work with both?

Well, I suggest you just get another cable if you really want to have audio from both. If you don't plan on running audio from your CD-RW, then just take that cable and use it on your DVD. That's likely the choice of most people cause if you run normal stuff off your CD-RW, it'll degrade its life quite a bit.
