System crashes when trying to install Linksys 54g wireless PCI

it could be the program at fault giving the BSOD.

Picking up the wrong driver is a common cause of blue screens.

1. Remove the card
2. Go into device manager, look at network adapters, delete anything that says wireless.
3. Find the right driver version at linksys and install it.
4. Reinstall the card, make sure it picks up the driver version you downloaded.

IF this was the solution then be very careful with windows update. Windows update may attempt to push the bad driver back at you.
