It's been about 5 years since my last build so I need some help

Approximate Purchase Date: this week (sale prices valid till may 2nd on ncix.com) , graphics card I can hold off 2 weeks if Nvidia is coming out with some good stuff.

Budget Range: $900

System Usage from Most to Least Important: general home use + Diablo 3 (haven't played much other games in a long time)

Parts Not Required: cooler master 500W power supply (is this still good?, new in box)
http://ncix.com/products/?sku=35940&vpn=RS500-PCARA3&manufacture=COOLERMASTER

Mushkin Chronos Deluxe 240GB 2.5IN SATA3 SandForce SF-2281 SSD Solid State Disk Flash Drive (got it on sale
http://ncix.com/products/?sku=62972&vpn=MKNSSDCR240GB-DX&manufacture=Mushkin%20Enhanced&promoid=1035

Preferred Website(s) for Parts: ncix.com

Country: Canada

Parts Preferences: none

Overclocking: I'll won't play with timings/stuff, if there's an auto overclock on the mobo that would be nice.

SLI or Crossfire: No, 1 graphics card only. $150-$200 range and I can wait a few weeks if new stuff are coming out.

So I'm planning on getting a

Intel Core i5 3570K Unlocked Quad Core Processor LGA1155 3.4GHZ Ivy Bridge 6MB Retail
http://ncix.com/products/?sku=70541&vpn=BX80637I53570K&manufacture=Intel

Mobo: I've always used ASUS before but thinking of switching to
Gigabyte Z77X-UD3H ATX LGA1155 Z77DDR3 3PCI-E16 3PCI-E1 HDMI CrossFireX/SLI SATA3 USB3.0 Motherboard
http://ncix.com/products/?sku=70263&vpn=GA-Z77X-UD3H&manufacture=Others&promoid=1058 $163.99 CAD

for $20 bucks more there is this one. I'm open to other suggestions.
Gigabyte Z77X-UD5H ATX LGA1155 Z77DDR3 3PCI-E16 3PCI-E1 HDMI CrossFireX/SLI SATA3 USB3.0 Motherboard
http://ncix.com/products/?sku=70262&vpn=GA-Z77X-UD5H&manufacture=Others&promoid=1360

Memory: It seems like everybody is recommending DDR3-1600. Isn't there faster stuff out there, or is it not necessary. I'm thinking of 8GB. Also should I be problem getting 1.5V vs 1.65V. I won't be doing any manual OC, just mobo auto OC.

This is #1 on ncix.com list as bestseller right now and on sale (is this 1.65V)
Kingston HyperX KHX1600C9D3K2/8GX 8GB 2X4GB DDR3-1600 XMP Dual Channel Memory Kit $49.98 CAD
http://ncix.com/products/?sku=57869&vpn=KHX1600C9D3K2%2F8GX&manufacture=Kingston&promoid=1058

I've read people recommending Ripjaws and Vengence a lot.
this is on sale as well
G.SKILL Ripjaws X F3-12800CL9D-8GBXL 8GB 2X4GB DDR3-1600 CL9-9-9-24 Memory $46.99 CAD
http://ncix.com/products/?sku=57953&vpn=F3-12800CL9D-8GBXL&manufacture=G.Skill&promoid=1058

CPU cooler: I'd something quiet as my one right now sucks and makes a ton of noise.
Corsair Cooling Hydro Series H80 High Performance CPU Cooler System ($95 CAD if bought with gigabyte mobo)
http://ncix.com/products/?sku=61379&vpn=CWCH80&manufacture=Corsair

or
ntec Kuhler H2O 620 Liquid CPU Cooling System $69
http://ncix.com/products/?sku=59537&vpn=KUHLER%20H20620&manufacture=Antec&promoid=1305

Graphics Card: Apart from Diablo 3, I won't be playing much other games. Looking around $150-$200 range.

Thanks for the help

Solution
After 1600, RAM performance gains start to become unnoticeable. Also, its important that the RAM you choose is 1.5V. I would get the G-skill Ripjaws series; 8 Gb.

You don't need liquid cooling for your setup. Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO should be fine.

Cooler Master PSU's are unreliable (from what I heard). I wouldn't trust them with my system for fear of frying it.

For a single card setup, all you need is the Gigabyte z77-D3H. The MoBo's you mentioned are for xFire/SLI setups.

With the money you save from my suggestions, you can get a better GPU and a better PSU. Something like a Radeon 7850 and Seasonic S12II 520W.

Thanks for the Reply.

The power supply is something I already have. Picked it up a few years ago and never used it. I'll look into another one but I'd prefer to use it.

Does the i5-3570k come with a cpu cooler?
