Dual 6870 Comparison Advice needed please

What single Graphics card can be Compared to the Dual 6870 OC CF please?
Also
What single Graphics card can be compared to the Dual 6850 OC CF please?

Mostly in gaming sense, give better FPS. On assumption that the MB and the Processor are both very high end.

I am curious because i really want to have just one card. That can be equal to or better then those card in CF mode. Also as a single card uses less watt then the two use combine...

@1080P the CF 6870's will beat even a single 7970 (fastest single GPU Card atm)
however the 7970 will pull away at higher rez's because of its 3gb of VRAM vs the 1gb on a 6870

your left with either a 6990 or a GTX590 (both are dual GPU's on a single Card)
both will perform better than the 6870 CF setup

if u already have the 2 6870's i would not bother with the 6990 or GTX590

wait a little longer for the 7990 or see what the Nvidia GTX6xx has to offer.
