Hey, So today I went to turn on my computer and it didn't respond. I then noticed my power supply smoking, so immediately unplugged everything. I'm guessing that my power supply's dead. I need your guys help deciding which power supply to get, keeping in mind I don't have much money at hand at the moment (max £100)
My PC specs (Old system)
-GeForce 8500GT
-Intel q6600 2.4GHz Quad core
- GA-P35-DQ6 motherboard
-2gb DDR2 RAM
-500gb HDD
The current psu is 650w, but i'm not sure if that isn't enough or is too much. Please help! :(

a good bronze level 500w-600w will be fine. like a cosair power supply. i would check to see if your old ps has a warranty some of them have muilt year warrantys. (hopfully it did not melt or kill your rig).
