HELP LCD Diagnostic

I need some help diagnosing a bad laptop LCD screen. LINK for picture of problem.

The laptop is a Gateway NV52. Basically, I turn it on and it displays a gray screen, then eventually dark gray vertical show up. It has a Radeon GPU so I hooked it up to VGA & HDMI. Both displays ports work on my external monitor, shown in the picture. I took the laptop apart and there are NO ribbon connection issues.

Am I correct that It's just a bad LCD screen?

Should I replace the LCD?

Any help would be appreciated!

Could be an issue with your GPU, try plugging it into an external display.

I've already done that... Both the VGA & HDMI work fine on an external display.

I would say that it's just a bad LCD in that case.

It was a bad LCD screen. I replaced it and everything works great!
