I´m building a computer mainly for 3D rendering, So far I´ve come up with

Cooler master CM 690 II plus (Mid Tower) 3 Fan

Cpu Fan :- Cooler master Hyper 412 Slim or water cooler

Power supely :- Cooler master Gx 750 w

Cpu :- 1) Intel® Core™ i7-3930K Processor (12M Cache, up to 3.80 GHz)
OR
2) Intel® Xeon® Processor E5-2620 (15M Cache, 2.00 GHz, 7.20 GT/s Intel® QPI)

Mother board :- 1)Intel DX79SR or DX79SI (Support I7,Xeon E5 family )

Graphic card:- nvidia quadro 600

Harddisk :- 2TB WD,

Ram :- 16 GB Kingston 1600Mhz (EPC)

could you give us an update? What did you end up buying , and how were you satisfied !

I am having the same question, should I go with Xeon for stability or i7 for speed ?! It seems that most professional workstation rigs go with Xeon!
