What is an optimal graphics card for my computer

I am looking for a new graphics card due to my old one having an overheating problem.
I am looking for a graphics card around 80-120$ for gaming.

-Operating System: Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit (6.1, Build 7601) Service Pack 1 (7601.win7sp1_gdr.110622-1506)
-System Manufacturer: Hewlett-Packard
-System Model: p7-1110
-BIOS: Ver: CAR_714.ROM vCAR7.14
-Processor: Intel(R) Core(TM) i3-2120 CPU @ 3.30GHz (4 CPUs), ~3.3GHz
-Memory: 6144MB RAM
-Available OS Memory: 6050MB RAM

500W Power supply, and i use my TV as my monitor.

What brand power supply and.resolution of tv?
Also if.your.old gpu.is overheating have you tried blowing the heatsink out or reapplying.the thermal paste?

Zumax is the brand of power supply.
Resolution is 1920x1080.

No I haven't, it is an nvidia 8800GT

Reapplying some thermal paste might be the cheapest option.

But if you want a new card in that range I'd go for 6770/6790.

As long as that psu isn't a truly terrible 500w those cards would be fine.
