Hi Guys. :hello:

I have a simple question.

What could cause a CPU to goto 100% usage when running a video game?

The System is as follows:
Intel Core i5 760 2.8GHz
EVGA GTX 460 SC EE
8GB GSkill DDR3
Intel P55WB Mother Board
In Win 750w PSU
The Game is Battlefield 3

Could any of the following cause this?
- Bad CPU Cooling
- Bad Internet connection
- Dust

The Game worked fine for more than six months. I started to get Low FPS with Very High CPU usage since 3 days ago. I haven't done any new hardware or software changes.

Today I did a fresh install of windows, Updated the Graphics card Drivers and repair installed the Game as well. But the Issue still Stands.

Any Advice???

Thanks in Advance. :)

Nothing running in the background. Only Kaspersky IS and Origin. Sorry, I should Have Mentioned it earlier.

Also I just installed CPUID Hardware Monitor, and according to it, the core temperatures for my CPU are in the low 70's Celsius.
Is this Normal? (I'm from Sri Lanka so It's naturally hot here.)

low 70's is rather warm. are you using the stock cooler or is the CPU overclocked?

It might be a problem with drivers.

I'm using the Stock Cooler. No Over-clocking has been done. could it be a heat issue? Should I try replacing the Thermal compound?
