Ok so I have my 560 ti connected to my denon avr-590 with an hdmi cable. In sound settings it comes up as denon-avamp-1 and i can configure it to "surround 5.1" in settings.. When i test it i get sound from all 5 speakers. But thats it. Once i play a movie i only hear the sound through the 2 front speakers. I even went on Youtube and did a surround sound test and had the same results. I have the latest nvidia 295.xx driver installed. I know the 5.1 works on my reciever because i tested my ps3 and xbox and they both produce surround. I even moved around the hdmi cables with the same results. Does anyone have any idea what my problem could be?

i don't think any video on youtube is 5.1 (not so sure about this)

maybe the movie you are watching isn't 5.1? if it have the option you may need to select it.

Try playing a game that supports 5.1 and see if it is working.
