If you are not into graphics why not keep the 9800GT? It's still a perfectly usable video card. Just because a new card is cheap does not mean you need to get it if you won't use it.

if you have a smaller (19") monitor at lower resolutions you wouldn't see any difference.

however if you do get the 460 and do not think it improved quality for you, you might be able to sell it for no loss esp. if you picked it up for less than $150 US

Are you into gaming?
If you are, then getting a GTX460 would be better. At higher resolutions that is. Otherwise it would just be an overkill.
What are the rest of your PC specs?
Preferably CPU and PSU.

CPU is FX 4100 3.6GHZ, PSU is Alpine 600W, mobo asrock 970Extreme3 and 8 GB ram corsair vegeance.cheers

If you had 9800 GTX+ I would say don't bother upgrading. But since you left out X+ from the tail end, I'd say upgrade to the GTX 460. Palit why? Buy an EVGA. Look for a deal and get that brand instead it is better.

Why not? What's wrong with Palit cards?

In that case, I don't see why you shouldn't go for a GTX 460.
