Hey everyone!

I live in Australia, so my favourite part supplier is Umart. Having a bit of an issue deciding between these two motherboards for my brand new Intel Core i7 3770 LGA1155 CPU 3.4Ghz 8Mb Cache Ivy Bridge!

- ASRock Z68-EXTREME7-GEN3 Intel Z68/4x DDR3/D-Sub/HDMI/DVI/DP (http://www.umart.com.au/pro/products_listnew.phtml?id=10&id2=177&bid=2&sid=81571)

- Asus SABERTOOTH Z77 SABERTOOTH Z77.Z77 4xDDR3 3xPCI-E16 GBL SATA3 USB3.0 RAID eSATA DSP HDMI
(http://www.umart.com.au/pro/products_listnew.phtml?id=10&id2=177&bid=2&sid=89377)'

I'd appreciate help in deciding through reasoning (sabertooth has an obvious physical glamour). If you know another mobo (up to $400) that would surpass please post aswell.

Here are my specs of my new build for this motherboard:

Case: Antec Dark-fleet 85
CPU: Intel Core i7 3770 LGA1155 CPU 3.4Ghz 8Mb Cache Ivy Bridge
MOBO: ???
RAM: G.skill 16G (4x4G) DDR3 1600Mhz 9-9-9-24
GPU: Radeon HD 6990
PSU: Antec HCG 900W
SSD: OCZ Agility 3 120G
+ Blue Ray write + HDD

Your opinion on these motherboards would be appreciated, and thanks in advance! ;)

If you want sli/xfire for future updates... I would go with some model that can do 16x/16x. There is only a feel of them, the less expensive that I know is the MSI G55! If you don't plan on going sli/xfire in the future... I would chose the SABERTOOTH =)

1. Asus
2. Shield protects from dust and humidity
3. I like some Asus utilities like auto-overclock for the new Z77, I don't know if it works with other manufacturers, probably not!

Can't think of any other reson! Sry ;p

your build is great and so is saber tooth.good luck with the build.
