Mr. Kutaragi that he was disappointed with the Cell design, which he
believes will be even less effective than the PowerPC"

correct.

I'd still like to see Paris Hilton & Steve Jobs get together and make a new
generation console which puts 360 & PS3 at the back of the pack.

Steve Jobs can design and produce it while Paris Hilton can fund & promote
it.

They could name it the "Sexy Apple" or something like that.

No branch prediction, no out-of-order execution and a huge part of the
die wasted on, for a desktop computer, pretty useless SPEs. Basically
the Cell is very likely a pretty good cpu for a console, but pretty bad
as a desktop cpu. Intel once said something similiar when they where
asked if they are scared about the cell.

Good points, but it might have been a viable co-processor or
something since Apple's been making a small push for desktop video as the
desktop publishing of the next decade and the Cell does seem incredibly
well suited to video processing.
