Built a new PC, Intel I7 2600 3.4ghz with 8 GB of memory running win 7 64 bit. I mostly use for star wars knight mpg, and ever quest (1) I was looking at this "EV-GA Super Clocked 01G-P3-1363-KR GeForce GTX 460 (Fermi) 1GB 192-bit GD-DR5 PCI Express 2.0 x16 HDCP Ready SLI Support Video Card for $150 usd. 2. If you are looking for something equivalent to GTX 8800 in modern day standard, you may want to look for GTX 560 Ti or over. 460 is good enough, but already outdated as 8800. If you are budget oriented, it's the best choice, though. I could play Crysis 2 Hi-res in ultra (or extreme? anyway, the highest setting) setting with no problem @ 1440 x 900.
  3. thre 6850 is faster and cheaper
