What is best and what is the difference?

I already got a 1-2 year old Creative X-Fi Titanium and the digital sound quality is legendary :bounce: but i'm going to buy a new Asus mobo & cpu and they are offering the Thunderbolt in some bundles...is it worth it?

No point in using a soundcard if your going to use its digital out; the equipment at the other end of the audio chain and not the soundcard will be driving the audio quality.

No there is a big diference... :non:

I got a Realtek Digital-out on my mobo and a Creative X-Fi Titanium digital-out and i can hear the difference :sarcastic:

And the Creative X-Fi Titanium got a bunch of tweak options

So i wonder if the Asus Thunderbolt got better tweak options than Creative X-Fi Titanium?

What you hear is the software DSP effects, nothing more and nothing less. The DAC on whatever piece of equipment you connect to will be the ultimate limiter on quality.
