Can anyone give me estimated FPS on these games?

Okay, so I will be getting a 7970 soon, and was wondering what my FPS will be on these games. My SPECS on my PC are:

CPU: i5 2500k @ 3.3GHz
Ram: 8GB 1600
HDD: 1 TB 7200 RPM
GPU: 7970 3GB
OS: Windows 7 Home 64bit

These are the games I will mostly be playing:

GTA 4
Skyrim
Just Cause 2
Saints Row 3
Battlefield 3
Left4Dead 2
Batman Arkham City


And any other Open World type games that will come out. But those are most of it.

I'd also like to have the HD Texture Pack for GTA 4.

I am asking this because I can't find a video with a person with a CPU that is not overclocked. Or will Overclocking make a big difference?

Overclocking up to around 4.5GHz on that CPU is not uncommon and will make some difference, but beyond 4.5GHz the concensus is that there is little or no benefit in gaming.

That being said, what resolution do you plan on gaming at, since this makes a difference on framerates. At 1080, you really should have no problems getting amazing framerates on all of these games.

My monitor is at 1920 x 1080. And the thing is, I don't know how to overclock on a Gigabyte Motherboard.

I'm seeing people that are hitting 4.6+ on that board, so i'm thinking that guide should be enough to help you out with getting started. What CPU cooler do you have? You'll want something better than stock for overclocking for sure.

Alright, can you maybe find me a guide with overclocking on that board? I may get the Hyper 212. Or give me some other suggestions. But ATM I have the stock fan.

Make sure you get the Evo version, it's much better. I'm running a 2500K at 3.8GHz load at 50C. If it's at 4.4GHz runs at 60C under load.

The hyper 212 EVO is good for mild to moderate overclocks. that should be fine for what you're looking at. Make sure you use a solid thermal paste like MX-4 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16835186038
