I don't suggest going for an AMD build at this price, so I put together an Intel build.

Motherboard: ASRock H61M-VS Micro ATX LGA1155 Motherboard ($54.99 @ Newegg)
Memory: G.Skill Ripjaws X Series 4GB (2 x 2GB) DDR3-1333 Memory ($25.99 @ Newegg)
Hard Drive: Seagate Barracuda 500GB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive ($79.99 @ Newegg)
Video Card: EVGA GeForce GTX 560 Ti 1GB Video Card ($199.99 @ Newegg)
Case: Rosewill CHALLENGER ATX Mid Tower Case ($49.99 @ Newegg)
Power Supply: Corsair 500W ATX12V Power Supply ($41.98 @ Newegg)
Optical Drive: LG GH22NS90B DVD/CD Writer ($16.99 @ Newegg)
Total: $659.91
Total Before Rebates, After Shipping: $709.91

i was also planning on having 8gb of memory, would this be okay?
G.SKILL Ripjaws Series 8GB (2 x 4GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1333 (PC3 10666) Desktop Memory Model F3-10666CL9D-8GBRL

You can get this kit if you think it looks cooler.

It's personal preference because there doesn't seem to be any real differences, but this^ is the newer model that is supposed to be optimized for SB processors.

Build 1
CPU and Mobo:i3 2100 with ASrock z68 pro3 - $209.98
Ram and PSU:OCZ ZT Series 650W Fully-Modular with G.SKILL Ripjaws X Series 8GB @ 1600 - $126.98
Case:Rosewill CHALLENGER Black Gaming ATX Mid Tower - $39.99 with promo code
HDD:Samsung by Seagate Spinpoint F3 500GB - $79.99
GPU:EVGA 01G-P3-1561-AR GeForce GTX 560 Ti - $225 with promo code

that makes it $681(estimated) without tax and shipping
build 2 you switch i3 to an i5(won't make much of a difference compared to a better graphics card) and spend a bit more

forgot to mention you can swap graphics card to a 7850 it has better performance and takes less energy but only get it IF the sale for the 560Ti is gone

If you are going the i3/ASRock Pro 3 combo route, spend the extra $3 and get the faster processor:

Intel Core i3-2120 & ASRock Pro 3 Gen 3 Combo
http://www.newegg.com/Product/ComboDealDetails.aspx?Ite...

Your gain a better motherboard, but lost the better processor in the i5-2400.

Here is the same combo deal, just with the i5-2400 thats a little over $60 more than the i3-2120 combo:

Intel Core i5-2400 & ASRock Pro 3 Gen 3 Combo

cool thanks, what which path would you recommend? an i3 or i5, my old laptop was an i3 and it seemed somewhat slower than my friends i5 that was the same laptop...is $60 more worth it? i could throw down if its the right choice, i was set on the build pezcore gave me so its really only about $20 more for the i5 and better motherboard...

For playing BF3 on multiplayer, the i5 without a doubt, but only if you can stretch your budget to fit the additional cost. I wouldn't cut corners on other things to get there as the i3 will work well, just some of the bigger multiplayer maps will strain it.

Let me tinker with it a little bit. I might be able to come up with another variant of the build you might like. ;)

Edit: (after tinkering with the build a little :D )

Rosewill CHALLENGER Black Gaming ATX Mid Tower Computer Case - 49.99 (before $10 off w/ promo code EMCNENJ38, limited offer)
Antec BP550 Plus 550W Modular Power Supply - 64.99
Intel Core i5-2400 and ASRock Z68 PRO3 GEN3 Intel Motherboard Combo - 276.98
G.SKILL Ripjaws X Series 8GB (2 x 4GB) Desktop Memory - 41.99
EVGA 01G-P3-1561-AR GeForce GTX 560 Ti - 249.99 (before $25 off w/ promo code EMCNENJ28, ends 5/7)
Western Digital Caviar Blue 500GB and ASUS 24x DVD Burner Combo - 84.98

TOTAL = $773.91 - 35.00 Promo codes - 25.00 MIR = $713.91 :D

You will have to hurry on this as the promo code for the vid card ends 5/7 and the combo deals or free shipping on almost all the items can come and go, but this gives you a really nice MOBO, Processor, Fully modular PSU, 8GB ram, a great case and a just all around very nice system.

The total shipping cost from newegg I have figured into the price. It was only 4.99 and thats for the DVD Burner. :)  All the other items have free shipping.

yea sounds right, im trying to ship the least from newegg since i live in nj and theres a good amount of tax, so im shipping to pennsylvania where my sister goes to college but shes moving back soon so there might not be enough room for everything in the car ride back :/  but either way its pretty much the same price, thanks a ton pezcore!!
