Hello,
i have recently had a problem with my computer crashing and the screen going "blank". i say blank cause it will turn whatever color there is most of on the screen at the time.
usually it turns white and i cant do anything.
alt+ctrl+del doesn't work. i have to hold the button down to turn it off.
it does it every time i get on firefox. it has done it when i go to flickr(on google chrome), or even just viewing pictures on my computer as a slideshow. i have checked my graphics card for the temperature, and its not very high. i looked at the event logs for my computer, but have not seen anything other than that it crashed.

my computer doesnt even seem to be running very hard at the time of crashes.

i have done virus scans and system restores.
i CAN open firefox in safe mode with no problems.
i have had this computer for 3 years and have never had a problem with it.

[edit] i went to check my computer's performance rating on the control panel and it froze again.

Any help would be great
thank you.

[solved?] [EDIT] well i deleted my wallpaper changing program and that seems to have fixed it. i will update or post a new thread if it happens again.

I was actually thinking about hardware like PSU, graphics card, RAM (brand and model #), etc. Is this a prebuilt system?

I am not sure if its a graphics card problem, because i can run fallout3 on the highest settings with no problems, but i couldnt think of anywhere else to post this problem.
